Who we are
This website is run by REACH-Education (Resources for Effective Assessment, Classroom Teaching and Holistic Learning), a non-profit organisation based in Nairobi, Kenya. You can contact us at reach44education@gmail.com or +254 790 876 101, or write to P.O. Box 1088-00517, Nairobi.
What we collect
We only collect what we need for the purpose you are using the site for.
- Donations: your name, email address, optional message, whether you would like updates, the amount, currency and frequency of your gift, PayPal's order, transaction or subscription reference, and the status and date of the payment.
- Contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and organisation, plus the topic, subject and message you send.
- Newsletter: your email address and the date you subscribed.
What we do not collect
- Card numbers, security codes or PayPal login details. These go directly to PayPal and never reach REACH-Education's servers.
- IP addresses in our database. They are held briefly in memory to limit abuse of our forms, and our hosting provider may keep them in its security logs.
- Advertising or analytics tracking data. This site does not use tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To process your donation, confirm it to you and keep the financial records we are required to keep.
- To reply to messages sent through the contact form.
- To send the newsletter, only if you subscribed. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To protect the site and our donors from fraud and abuse.
How long we keep it
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email reach44education@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we can.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children and the people we work with
This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through it. To keep them safe, REACH-Education does not publish the names or identifiable photographs of the learners, teachers or staff it works with.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we handle personal information changes, and change the date at the top.
