What we do
We combine print, offline and online digital content, and support for teachers, so that geography, a pastoral way of life or insecurity do not decide whether a child can learn.

Our focus areas
REACH-Education invests in e-learning platforms, educational apps and printed materials for pastoralist learners and their communities.
REACH-Education uses technology that is already available locally (mobile phones, tablets and school computers) to extend education to nomadic schools, mobile learning bases and community education centres.
REACH-Education delivers inclusive education for girls, people with special needs, migrating families and adults, to systematically disrupt radicalisation and end poverty.
REACH-Education works with local teachers to build self-esteem, resilience and confidence through continuous professional development, counselling and mentorship.
Our programmes

Printed and digital learning packs given to individual learners, so learning can continue in and out of the classroom.

Learning content distributed offline on CDs, flash disks and hard drives, and through cloud-based platforms.

Mobile applications that let communities download learning content and use it without a constant connection.

A platform of lessons, experiments, past papers and teaching strategies, organised by subject and topic.
Accessing
Resources are organised by subject and topic, with background material that equips teachers to use them well.
Engaging content organised to help understanding and retention, using text, images, video and interactive exercises to suit different ways of learning.
Practice papers that simulate real exam conditions, so students become familiar with the format, style and content of the tests ahead.
Digital courses, webinars and resources that teachers can use remotely to keep building their knowledge and skills.
A tool for teachers to create tests, worksheets, quizzes and exams tailored to their learners' needs and syllabus coverage. Unlike ready-made mock papers, the assessments reflect exactly what a class has covered.
Questions and answers
REACH-Education builds on technology communities already have: mobile phones, tablets and school computers. Content travels offline on CDs, flash disks and portable hard disks, and online through cloud platforms and mobile apps that work without a continuous internet connection. Teachers use REACH-Education's digital library and the Exam Vista test generator to prepare lessons and assessments.
Self-Learning Kits (SLKs) are packs of textbooks, workbooks, stationery and digital resources given to individual learners, so they can learn independently in and out of the classroom.
